Good night, sweet prince: And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest...
-William Shakespeare

It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.

The game plan

Well, let's see, the game plan. It is simple, or yeah, I guess that's what I'd like to think. Doc put me on Met.for.min, no, I am not dia.betic, don't have P.COS, so why? To decrease my risk of miscarriage from 40% to 14%. Am I at high risk for miscarriage? We're not sure! My insulin challenge was a bit high so we're cutting it off at the pass and this is to give me piece of mind.

So, in order to make a long drawn out story short, we have the green light to try again! Thing that sucks the most, his family will be here while I'm ovulating! Yeah, me! Try stuffing a sock in my mouth I guess! Or, get it done really fast and hide while my legs are propped up! What fun!

So that's the short end of it! I'm sure you'll get the long end of it as now, I am nervous, sad, and leery of losing yet another baby. 2 losses is enough for me. I don't think my heart can stand a 3rd. I know my soul cannot. So, we'll see where the grief roller coaster and the TTC roller coaster collide.

Again, thank you all for all of your support. I am also sure you will hear or um, well, read my ups and downs with taking Met.for.min. as, my body day one seems to dislike the stuff!

Well having a plan is a good step :) What dosage met did he put you on to start, you are tapering up right? A nice side effect is weight loss, especially when you eat high carb stuff, it really doesnt like that :)

Do it on the floor so the bed doesn't squeak. Not that I know from experience...

G., you are too funny! I have started on 500mg of Met and work up to 1500mg slowly! So, I go from 1 pill to 2 to 3 over a couple of weeks time!

I am looking forward to weight loss, as we all know I need that! Fat girls don't like having sex especially on the floor, although there is enough cushin for the pushin it's just not too comfy! I'd like to *feel* sexy, you know!

That sounded wrong! I should have said, I like to have sex (who doesn't!?!) but, I don't like being fat while doing it! Still sounds wrong but you get the idea! (Hopefully, NOT the picture!)

I wish you the very best in this attempt and I hope you'll join me in this confusing pregnancy thing. It has it's ups and downs, between worrying and being excited it's hard to know how you'll feel from one day to the next. And thanks for the comment on my blog, it's so nice to know someone cares.

A plan is a good thing and I hope that the Met doesn't make you too crazy. I have never taken it myself, but I have heard good things from people who have.

And you are so silly! And not fat!

Yeah for a plan. Work slowly on the Met. it's hard to take for some. (and play with taking it before, during or after a meal). And avoid coffee - it always gave me, well, explosive things we aren't going to talk about!

I'm so glad you can try again. And hey there's back seats (which, surely must increase your chances. All my teenage friends got pregnant in a backseat!)

Having a plan is a good step indeed.
My only assvice is don't pressure yourself too much, I only say that because I really laid the pressure on myself initially. Just you enjoy getting jiggy with it, whether that be on the floor or bed.

Sounds like a good excuse to check in to a hotel. :-)

I was also put on Met. I dont have a medical reason to be on it but there are studies that show a increased pg rate when on it so my IVF dr popped me on it and just said ' it cant hurt'.

Hope you dont spend as much time in the loo as i did. lol

Good luck
